To enjoy a vacation in Albania, the visitors must know about the procedure for obtaining visa. The tourists need not pay the visa charge for entering Albania. There are some countries whose nationals do not require visa. But it is advisable to carry a valid ID proof by the tourists. The visitors can acquire visa in any international airport in Albania.

The foreigners belonging to the list of the specific 42 countries can enter Albania without visa and can stay up to 30 days and a maximum of 90 days within the calendar year. While entering or leaving the Republic of Albania, the visitors are not charged with custom duties on their goods. Reasonable amounts of perfumes, tobacco and beverages are allowed for the personal use. Narcotic drugs, ammunitions and fireworks are prohibited that imperil or jeopardize the national and social security. A special export permit is necessary for the export of antiquities like ancient coins, art work and precious metals that are considered to be national and cultural heritage.
